With the advent of utilization of technology, its abuse and exploitation has also increased. One most abused tool of technology by perpetrators is Computer. In many cases either the computer is utilized to commit some digital crime such as money laundering or it is used to store the electronic information related to some crime such as audio/video files, images, etc. This makes the computer very crucial digital evidence in a case investigation.

Computer Forensics is the branch of Digital Forensic Science that utilizes the tools and techniques for forensic investigation and analysis to collect, preserve and analyse digital evidences from a computing device. Forensic analysis of computer includes investigation and analysis of computer’s hard drive containing all the digital files and folders relevant to the case investigation.
The forensic analysis of a computer’s hard drive is a task which requires diligence and skill of the digital forensic expert and specialized hardware and software as the computer’s hard drive contains quite a volume of data that needs to be interpretated and inferred accurately.

The digital forensic experts utilize various specialized hardware and software for computer forensic examination. Computer forensic examination includes deleted data recovery, forensic analysis of recovered data, database forensics, documenting forensics reports, on-site acquisition and others.

We maintain proper chain of custody at the laboratory from the point of receiving/collection of evidence till the disposal of forensic examination report. The observation and results of the forensic examination of evidence are kept confidential.

Reports generated by our forensic laboratory are admissible in the Indian Court of Law in the same category followed by the Government FSL’s. Further, we provide 65B certificate for admissibility of electronic evidence under Indian Evidence Act, 1872.

Our forensic experts are skilled and can testify in Indian courts to provide Expert Opinion under Section 45 of Indian Evidence Act, 1872.
